Emergency Rescue and Safe Shelter Program
The Emergency Rescue Center provides immediate, short-term safe shelter for girls and women fleeing violence, including survivors of domestic abuse, FGM, forced marriage, and life-threatening situations.
The Center will initially operate a six-bed emergency shelter, offering safe accommodation for up to 30 days. During this time, survivors receive:
- A secure and dignified environment free from violence and intimidation.
- Case management and crisis support tailored to their individual needs.
- Referrals to medical care, legal assistance, psychosocial counseling, and protection services.
- Support in securing safe, long-term housing and rebuilding stability.
The program’s goal is to protect lives, restore dignity, and ensure each survivor leaves the shelter with a clear path toward safety and independence.
