Crisis and Prevention Support Program
This program provides immediate protection and early-intervention support for girls and women at risk of, or surviving, gender-based violence—including FGM, forced or underage marriage, domestic abuse, and threats of femicide. Through outreach, education, and survivor-centered response, we help individuals escape harmful environments and regain safety as quickly as possible.
Participants will be:
- Connected to life-saving services, including emergency shelters, medical care, trauma-informed counseling, psychiatric support, legal aid, and protection services, with clear guidance on their rights and available options.
- Empowered through education and economic strengthening, including financial literacy, skills training, and career guidance that enable survivors to regain independence, pursue education, and build sustainable livelihoods.
- Supported in healing and rebuilding self-worth, with psychosocial programs focused on self-esteem, coping with trauma, reducing isolation, and strengthening resilience. Topics include assertiveness, self-care, confidence-building, goal setting, and forming healthy relationships.
- Referred to trusted partner organizations for specialized services not directly provided by the Center, ensuring holistic, coordinated care.
