Welcome to Hope Anew Rescue(HAR) Centre a non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Kenya. The NGO’s goal is to help the healing of those who have been traumatized by domestic GBV through education and enrichment programs, provision of safe emergency shelter, and economic empowerment while advocating for an end to domestic violence to create violence-free communities and healthy families.

Our Mission Statement
Our mission is to empower women in Kenya by providing support, advocacy, and education to end domestic gender-based violence (GBV). Through collaborative efforts with local communities, law enforcement, and policymakers, we aim to create a safe, inclusive environment where women can live free from violence and discrimination. We are committed to raising awareness, offering essential services for survivors, and advocating for systemic change to ensure the protection, dignity, and rights of all women in Kenya.
Our Vision Statement
A Kenya where every woman lives free from the fear of domestic gender-based violence, with access to safety, justice, and the opportunity to thrive in a society that respects her rights, dignity, and equality. We envision a future where communities are united in the fight against GBV, ensuring a world where women are empowered to live without violence, and every survivor is supported and healed.
Our Core Values
Our Core Values
Safety: We believe all human beings deserve a life of freedom to exercise their spiritual, emotional, psychological, and physical needs without fear. We work to help survivors of domestic abuse to heal from the wounds caused by the power-based abusers
Respect: We value and respect all individuals and work towards celebrating their progress however small it may seem. Respect is reflected in how we treat our clients, ourselves, and community members, and we embrace diversity. We believe in reaching out to marginalized individuals and communities and creating space to celebrate and nurture them.
Empowerment: We believe empowerment begins with recognizing and knowing that individually and collectively, we have the power to stop domestic abuse. Together, with the victims, staff, and volunteers, we have the strength to make necessary changes and to accomplish our goals.
Education: We will educate ourselves and our community to reject and prevent violence and oppression in our own lives and the lives of the people around us. We recognize that our mission and values are transformational, and we must work to break down social and cultural norms that continue to divide us.
Hope: We believe that hope is key to our existence, ability to persevere, and achieve goals. We recognize that our work fosters hope and resilience and improves physical, emotional, spiritual, and psychological well-being. We aim to move from hopeless to hopeful lives.
